There will be preparation time for your own choreography work assignments.
You will be expected to assist in other dance lessons to extend theory knowledge and teaching experience.
It is worth noting that we allow the student to attend any extra classes they wish once they have enrolled for this course, at no extra cost. This may include extra Acting, Singing or Dancing classes.
Singing and Piano Lessons are available at a discounted rate but are extra costs to the course as they involve one to one teaching. There is no charge for Diploma students.
These Courses are set up particularly for those that are unable to do a full time course but wish to work or do other studies, or are still at school (Year 11 or 12). Students will be able to do the course as part of WACE studies from 2011.
They are designed to prepare the student for audition for either the profession or further study and generally they are the equivalent of Cert 11 - 1V. The emphasis is on practical work with staff qualified teachers who are also currently involved in the profession. The Diploma is equivalent to Certificate 4 level.
There are 22 group classes all on Saturdays, except for piano (private) and singing (private) and dance (group) for which there are 40 classes. The productions will require extra committment and avaiability. There will be a charge for participating students but not for Diploma students.
Dance takes place during the week evenings as does the optional Choir.

NB It is possible to do the second Semester of these Courses for which 50% of all fees (except application fee) is payable when joining in second semester. No free extra classes may be taken. This does not apply to Diploma students.
