WACE Acting, Dance and Musical Theatre
Are you someone who loves performing? On a gap year and wanting to develop your skills further? Preparing to audition for a performance degree?
Our WACE endorsed courses are a popular choice for those who are keen on further developing their performance skillset, and are especially for those who are hoping to pursue a career in the performing arts.
Many of those who have completed our WACE courses have then been accepted into prestigious performance degrees at universities such as WAAPA.
These courses are available for those 17 years and older.
Singing Lessons
Private singing tuition at Stage Door School includes lessons with Ian Westrip O.A.M. Ian has a background in classical and opera, including English National Opera, Scottish Opera and Western Australia Opera, and has taught at WAAPA in both the Musical Theatre and Classical Voice Bachelor courses for the past 30 years, and is currently still a teacher for the WAAPA Classical Voice Department.
Many of Ian’s students go on to enjoy a successful career in the arts, with past students currently in productions around Australia, as well as on the West End and Broadway.

Opera Diploma Course
This brand new Opera Diploma course is aimed at those who are actively engaged in classical music, whether it is through having graduated a Diploma or Bachelor degree in Classical Music, or through any other training.
This is a one year course which aims to assist those who aspire to go on to further studies of classical music/opera (such as a Masters), either in Australia or overseas.

Perth Lyric Chorale
Perth Lyric Chorale is open to anyone with a passion for classical music.
We take new members all throughout the year, and the choir is open to all ages from 18 years old.
The PLC performs in venues all over Perth throughout the year, and rehearses every Wednesday night at the Stage Door Studio.
